Classic New England décor is found within the well-appointed cozy guestrooms at this circa 1832 Colonial home. A buffet breakfast is served each morning.
Smoke free premises. 7 units. 3 stories (no elevator), interior corridors.
Pros: Enjoyed breakfast and we always enjoy meeting new people from various places.
Cons: No comfortable chair in our room.
Pros: The inn was pretty much as expected. An older historical type building with small rooms. This one may be getting a little tired but the stay was comfortable on a stormy night.
Cons: Bathrooms in rooms are tiny. Almost too small to move around. All rooms in general are small, including shared parlor and eating rooms, with too much period furniture and bric a brac everywhere. Gives a enclosed feeling.
Some rooms are right on highway which gets pretty noisy in early mornings.
Not much parking and a one way access alley on side.
All bags must be carried up a narrow center stairway to second floor. No elevator.
Pros: A warm welcome and lovely period atmosphere combined to provide a
most enjoyable, relaxing stay.
Cons: Difficulty in obtaining a wi-fi connection for my MAC.
