AAA Editor Notes
Gardner-Pingree House, at 128 Essex St. on the Peabody Essex Museum campus, contains the work of Salem master builder Samuel McIntire. Furnished in period, the Federal-style home was built in 1804 for John Gardner, a successful merchant.

Guided tours are available.

Admission
(includes Peabody Essex Museum and historic house tours) $20; $18 (senior citizens and students with ID and to all after 5 p.m.); free (ages 0-16 and Salem residents with ID).
Hours
Open Tues.-Sun. and Mon. holidays 10-5. The house is included in the "Shelter to Showpiece" and "Two Merchants Homes" tours offered at 12:30 and 2.
