Magic Wings is .2 mi. w. on Elm St., then 2.2 mi. n. to 281 Greenfield Rd. (US 5/SR 10/SR 116). The 8,000-square-foot Francis R. Redmond Conservatory houses more than 4,000 free-flying butterflies from around the world as well as tropical plants and Japanese carp. Called “flight attendants,” employees teach visitors about the butterflies. Park benches and gazebos offer meditation spots; outdoor gardens feature native flora. The facility also presents exhibits and videos about butterflies.
