Joseph Allen Skinner State Park, 4 mi. n. on SR 47 at 10 Skinner Park Rd., sits atop 954-foot Mount Holyoke, which affords a 70-mile panorama of the Connecticut Valley. Titan's Piazza, a volcanic formation of overhanging rock columns, and Devil's Football, a magnetic boulder, can be seen. The park also features one of the oldest existing summit houses in New England. Special events, offered at the summit house Memorial Day through Columbus Day, include a concert series in July.

Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.

Trails daily dawn-dusk. Summit road daily 9-7, early May-Labor Day; 9-6, day after Labor Day-Columbus Day; 9-4, day after Columbus Day-Veterans Day (weather permitting). House tours are given Sat.-Sun. and holidays 10-5, Memorial Day to mid-Oct. Concerts are held Thurs. at 7 p.m., in July. Phone ahead to confirm specific house tour times.
