Old Colony History Museum, 66 Church Green, is in a schoolhouse designed by Richard Upjohn and built in 1852. Dedicated to presenting the history of the Taunton area, it contains a collection of regional objects and archives as well as a research library specializing in local history and genealogy. Its parent organization, the Old Colony Historical Society, was founded May 4, 1853, making it one of New England’s oldest historical societies. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
