Lyman Estate Greenhouses, .5 mi. n. of jct. US 20 at 185 Lyman St., offers a self-guiding tour through the 19th-century greenhouses containing grapevines, camellia shrubs, orchids, tropical fruit trees and exotic plants. The camellias are in bloom November through April. In June and July, Black Hamburg grape cuttings gathered from the British royal greenhouses at Hampton Court in 1870 ripen. The 1793 mansion (closed to the public) is surrounded by 30 acres of English-style gardens.
