A half-wall separates the dining room's two tiers in this family-friendly restaurant. Lithographs of sailing vessels, interspersed with large, framed mirrors, occupy the wall above the lightwood wainscoting. The food is good, simple New England fare, with seafood, steaks, chops and chicken prepared broiled, baked and grilled. To answer an often-asked question: Strawberry shortcake is made with real biscuits. Service is folksy.
