Woods Hole Science Aquarium, 166 Water St., is part of a major research center for marine science operated by the National Marine Fisheries Service under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The aquarium contains a seal pool, a touch tank, a behind-the-scenes area and exhibits about local saltwater species. Approximately 140 species of marine animals can be seen.
