Edward Gorey House is at 8 Strawberry Ln. From original artwork to first edition books, macabre memorabilia fills every nook and cranny of this 19th-century cottage, the former home of acclaimed writer and artist Edward Gorey. Offbeat author of “The Gashlycrumb Tinies” and “The Doubtful Guest,” Gorey worked on various theater productions, winning awards for his set and costume designs. Still, he is best known for his pen and ink illustrations, which appeared in such publications as The New Yorker and The New York Times as well as in books by John Updike, Virginia Woolf, H.G. Wells and others.
