Whydah Pirate Museum, 674 SR 28, features a replica of Whydah, an early 1700s slave ship that was overtaken in the Caribbean by pirates but sank shortly thereafter in a storm in New England. The shipwreck was eventually discovered in the 1980s, and exhibits feature items that have been recovered: cannons, gold and silver coins, maps, pistols and sword hilts as well as the ship's bell.

Hours: Tues.-Sun. 10-5 (also Fri.-Sun. 5-6), in summer; Tues.-Sun. 10-5, in spring; Sat.-Sun. 10-5, rest of year. Last admission 1 hour before closing.
