Thorncrag Nature Sanctuary

Thorncrag Nature Sanctuary, .1 mi. e. at jct. Montello St. and Highland Spring Rd., encompasses 372 acres of forest, fields and ponds. The sanctuary is a habitat for a wide variety of birds native to northern New England.

There are 3.5 miles of marked hiking trails; maps are available at the gate. Hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are permitted. Pets are not allowed.

Picnicking is permitted.
