Museum of Popular Arts

Museum of Popular Arts (Museo de Artes Popular), within the State of México Cultural Center, is housed in a hacienda dating from the 17th century. Colorful murals decorate its walls, and a variety of regional handicrafts are on display. A huge “tree of life” sits in the front hall. The museum's exhibits of saddles, clothing and other items used by charros (cowboys) are considered among the best of their type in the country.
