Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library is at 1000 Beal Ave. at jct. Fuller Rd., on the University of Michigan's North Campus. The library opened in 1981 and is the only site in the presidential library system where the museum and library are not located together; the museum is in Ford's hometown of Grand Rapids, and the library is at his alma mater in Ann Arbor. The collection contains presidential archives, documents, transcripts, photos and video footage about domestic and foreign policies during the Cold War era as well as Ford administration papers.

Visitor displays include a time line with photos and document images representing substantial events in Ford's life. Several cases include rotating exhibits, and video footage is shown as well.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
