AAA Editor Notes
Nichols Arboretum is adjacent to the University of Michigan central campus at 1610 Washington Heights, next to the University of Michigan Hospital. Visitors can follow nature trails through the 123-acre grounds containing plant collections and labeled tree species. A peony garden blooms in early June.
Maps, small exhibits and information about the arboretum and Matthaei Botanical Gardens can be found in the visitor center.
Education programs are scheduled throughout the year.
