Castle Farms is 2 mi. e. of US 31 at 5052 SR 66. The castle, modeled after castles in Normandy, France, was built in 1918 by Albert Loeb, acting president of Sears, Roebuck & Co., and showcased innovative farm equipment in the Sears catalog. After a brief film about the history and restoration, visitors set off on their own to explore the castle and gardens. A hedge maze and one of Michigan's largest model garden railroads are on the grounds. Children enjoy the scavenger hunt and feeding the fish. Festivals and shows are held throughout the year.
