Bernard Historical Museum is at 7135 W. Delton Rd. Displays housed in a 1930s hospital include artifacts and items used in the facility. An 1873 schoolhouse, a 1900 country store and a blacksmith shop are nearby. A re-created seamstress cottage with sewing machines is featured. Also on the grounds are a working windmill, a marked nature trail, a barn with farm equipment and handmade tools, and a house where visiting medical professionals resided. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.

Hours: Sat.-Sun. 1-5, July-Aug.; Sun. 1-5, in June and Sept. Tours are offered by appointment.
