Sand Point Lighthouse is next to the Delta County Historical Museum in Ludington Park at 16 Beaumier Way (formerly Water Plant Rd.). Restored to its original 1867 appearance, the tower adjoins the keeper’s house, furnished in period. Winding stairs lead to the tower’s observation deck. A Coast Guard exhibit, a museum/archives building with information about Delta County and a restored boathouse with original surfboat also are on the premises. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.

Hours: Lighthouse, boathouse and Coast Guard exhibit daily 11-4, Memorial Day-Labor Day. Archives Mon.-Fri. 1-4, Memorial Day-Labor Day; Mon. 1-4, rest of year. Archives also open by appointment.
