Traveling as Couple

Pros: The original portion of the hotel building is gorgeous. There are shops, restaurants, and bars available without even leaving the hotel, but it's also in walking distance to lots of things in Grand Rapids. The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Parking was a bit outrageous- self-parking was $24 a night, even though it says $19 on this site.I was especially unhappy that when I booked the reservation, it had said free parking and breakfast, but when I got to the hotel that wasn't the case.

Pros:
Cons: You have to pay extra to park in the attached parking garage even if you are a guest of the hotel. The beds had pits in the middle and the a/c unit was extremely loud

Pros: The spacious room and friendly staff!
Cons: Walls are pretty thin so you can hear people talking in the room next to you at times.
