Pros: The King Suite with Spa Bath was great! I was nervous that the tub might be dirty, but it was very clean. The tub is in the main room, so we could watch a movie and have a nice soak. The tub took a while to fill up, but the water was good and hot. The bed was SUPER comfy. We also liked that we had a nice sink, microwave and mini-fridge in the main room so that we didn't need to use the bathroom sink for everything. The TV had an available HDMI port in the back, so we were able to hook up my laptop and watch movies, which we really enjoyed. The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was very well done. The fresh cookies at the front desk were a nice touch! The location is very nice. It's right off the freeway, and there are many things nearby (coffee, food, fuel, etc) and it's a short $10 Uber ride from downtown Lansing.
Cons: The A/C could be updated. It was weak and barely worked. While we were there, the hotel was undergoing an update. The halls were freshly painted, and there were painters working during the day. We weren't too disturbed by this, except for the fact that the crew did not not clean up their tools after they were through for the day. There were ladders left in the stairwell all night and the railings were covered in dust. A minor inconvenience, but for the amount of money we spent staying there, it was a tad annoying. Additionally, the paperwork we filled out upon check in was apparently lost by the staff, and around 2:00 in the afternoon on our second day there, another guest came to our room. She left because she saw the room was occupied, and soon after, the front desk called the room and asked who we were and why we were there. I explained we had the room reserved for the whole weekend and we had checked in the day before. They made us come down and fill out the same paperwork again. Thank goodness we happened to be in the room when this happened, as I'm not sure what they would have done with our belongings if we were gone. That was a very frustrating interruption to our relaxing weekend.

Pros: The breakfast was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly. We were in town to see a show on the MSU campus and we had a great time. The hotel was lovely and comfortable. I am staying at another one of your hotels in November and I am looking forward to it because of my stay here.
Cons: There really wasn't much of anything to complain about. The hotel was under a remodeling so things were a bit messy but it was understandable. We completely enjoyed our stay.

Cons: The carpeting in the very dated room was so filthy that we put our shoes back on to walk around the room. (black Socks!) No Chair!!! when I asked for one I was informed that that particular room didn't come with a chair. Who ever heard of a king room with no chair??? Just a lonely reading lamp/table standing alone in a corner. The new decor (Grey) and in progress makes the place feel like prison. It is not complete so we shared the elevator with the painters and scaffolding etc. The whole place is in a state of transition and not ready for occupants. We are laughingly referring to our stay as our $99.00 breakfast.Oh well..."you get what you pay for".

Pros: The curtains closed all th way to darken the room and there wasn't a gap for early morning sun to sneak in.
Cons: Glad I brought my own pillow. Even with the choice of 3, they were all too soft.
solo traveller
Cons: The tub/shower was a repaired piece of crap.
