AAA Editor Notes
McGulpin Point Lighthouse is 2.3 mi. w. on Central Ave. then just n. to 500 Headlands Rd. The lighthouse was in use 1869-1906, and after its decommission it was used as a private residence. In recent years the process to restore the structure has begun, and a light once again shines from the tower. Visitors can climb the spiral staircase to reach the top for a view of the Straits of Mackinac, Mackinac Island and the Mackinac Bridge. Historical items chronicle the history of the lighthouse as well as local history and culture.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
