family with young children
Pros: The free breakfast was pretty good--it included make-your-own waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, etc. Dining area was very clean and workers there were very prompt to refill or clean. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub, which were also kept very clean and nice. View from room, while not a "lake view" room, had a lovely view of the lake and bridge. Easy access to beach. We had a two-room suite, which was comfortably sized for our group of 5. Staff was beyond helpful and friendly, and we scheduled our ferry ride to the Island with them. They had lots of local information available, and were the best go-to with our questions.
Cons: Rooms need some updates. Wallpaper was starting to pull away from bathroom wall around shower, which tends to give a dirty look, even when clean. Window area had cobwebs, which needed to be cleaned. There were 3 light bulbs which were out and needed replacing, though I forgot to tell staff, who would probably have promptly changed them. It was a great value for the money, but just little things should be tended to.
