Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery & Visitor Center is 6 mi. w. off US 131 on SR 43, then just s. on Fish Hatchery Rd. to 34270 CR 652. The hatchery helps replenish depleted stocks in the wild, and visitors will learn about all the phases that occur before the fish are released into the Great Lakes as well as inland lakes. The visitor center includes an interactive museum and display showcasing fish life cycles and habitats, human impacts on fish environments and the history of fish hatcheries on the Great Lakes. Hiking and nature trails also are on the grounds. Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
