Curwood Castle is at 224 Curwood Castle Dr. at jct. Main St. Built in 1922, this castle was the writing studio of author James Oliver Curwood. His stories are mainly adventure tales set in the Canadian North, reflecting his interest in nature, and many of the novels were made into films. Historical documents and photographs are among the artifacts representing his writing, film and conservation pursuits.
