As the name implies, the focus here is on old-fashioned, from-scratch, Southern cooking. Many of the dishes are influenced by the chef-owner’s mother and grandmother. Nana’s fried chicken is very popular; you can pair it with sides, such as street corn, braised greens or cabbage slaw. The menu also includes a deviled crab and crawfish po’boy, shrimp with grits and the slow-cooked pulled pork. Many seats offer relaxing views of the Kalamazoo River.
