Pros: Well located for a road trip as it is very easy to get to from the interstate. The bed was very comfortable and very quiet, which is what we asked for. The facilities were all available and in good working order. Staff was very helpful and very friendly.

Pros: The hotel is located just next to the exit of the highway, super easy to be found. And you can literally walk from it to the beginning of Manistee National forest. We asked for the most quiet room of the hotel and we got one on the 3rd floor where you couldn't hear any noise from the pool downstairs nor the highway which was pretty close. The room was clean, the bathroom was very spacious comparing to other hotels I've been at and the fact you could make your own coffee and tea in your room was a very nice complement. Also the always available coffee and tea close to the reception was a great complementary treat. Breakfast was good, specially the baked potatoes! We are plant based eaters, but there was enough option next to the eggs, sausages and waffles, like the mentioned potatoes, oatmeel, bread and fruit. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving us suggestions for scenic hike routes in the neighborhood. Our room was available earlier than the usual 3pm check-in time, which was very much appreciated by my husband who had a though week at work and was really in need of a afternoon nap. We were lucky to have beautiful fall weather, so we spent most of the time outdoors, therefore I can't say anything about the pool nor the gym room. But they looked very clean an nice. Wij would definitely come here again, maybe next time with our children so they can enjoy the surroundings and the pool :-)
Cons: The check out at 11 am is a bit too early to really start the day at easy before leaving the hotel. It would make such a difference if it would be 12pm!
