Morelia Convention Center

Morelia Convention Center (Centro de Convenciones) is s.e. of downtown, at the intersection of Calzada Ventura Puente and the Periférico (loop road) that encircles the city. This complex of buildings is situated in a reasonably well-groomed park. Convention meetings and cultural events take place at the Morelos Theater (Teatro Jose María Morelos). The Orchid House (Orquidario) is a greenhouse containing more than 3,000 varieties that bloom at various times. The Planetarium (Planetario de Morelia) presents IMAX movies and star shows on a domed screen.
