Family Vacation
Pros: Loved the location; conveniently located across the street to the Camelinas shopping center and an Aurrera (like a WalMart). I like taking the combis (public transport), which drive by right outside the hotel street. There are some decent restaurants in the surrounding area. The ones directly across the street are "eh" - but if you go inside the "indoor swap meet" there are some more decent, inexpensive places to eat too. The pool was nice. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the A/C was really nice to have.
Cons: Every time I asked the check-in clerks a general question about exchanging money , public transportation or fast food restaurants, they never had an answer. Or as in one instance, a lady sent me to the Camelinas across the street to an "exchange house" only to walk around like a dummy and find out there isnt one there. I came back to complain and another gentlemen told me I could exchange dollars for pesos at the hotel. It was frustrating. Specially since we were already running late for a family dinner. I can only imagine if I didnt speak Spanish. Oh, speaking of, my kids do not speak Spanish. When they ordered room service the lady did not understand them, so I had to just take over. What is the point of having someone that doesnt understand English taking orders. I am sure we are not the only English speaking people to have stayed at this hotel. I will say that the room service was not bad at all.

Clean, functional, big hotel; sometimes...
Pros: Our room was *very* clean and comfortable, and its amenities were fine. Comfortable mattresses and quality sheets. The hotel has a decently-stocked bar and an acceptable--despite small, and old--pool. The location is quiet and somewhat forested, although not at all near the historical downtown (it's a 10-minute drive away).
Cons: The breakfast buffet was consistently "meh" and insipid. The small pool was crowded throughout the weekend and the pool water was not transparent. There seemed to be a convention at the hotel when we visited, so the bar was usually packed.

Wouldn't come back
Pros: Staff was kind
Cons: They offer you a "better" price because they take off the breakfast that's normally included with the room.
