Historic Knute Nelson House is at 1219 Nokomis St. It was the former home of the Minnesota governor (1892-95) and U.S. senator (1895-1923). Guided tours take visitors through the restored turn-of-the-20th-century house. Many of the original furnishings remain. The building also serves as the home of the Douglas County Historical Society, which maintains a family research facility.
Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
