I won’t hesitate to stay...
Pros: Staff was amazing. I was there the weekend of Minnesota’s historic April blizzard (and trapped in the hotel for 24 hours) and the two gentlemen covering the front desk both days that weekend were simply outstanding. They remained pleasant, helpful and cheerful under very trying circumstances. They shoveled cars out and helped push stuck ones. The property was plowed quickly and multiple times. The restaurant and housekeeping staff were also friendly and conscientious. I thought the breakfasts were excellent - surprisingly good eggs and terrific FRESH fruit (papaya, pineapple, orange slices, grapefruit slices). The waffle maker with whipped cream was also a hit with many of the younger guests.
Cons: I didn’t particularly enjoy the other weekend guests. There was a local dance competition for young girls, so the hotel was FILLED with them and their parents. They took ownership of the pool area and pretty much took over the restaurant area at breakfast and for a pizza party the night of the blizzard. But the circumstances were crazy, girls will be girls, and they were all nice and well behaved. It was just noisy for other non-dance contest guests.
