Minnesota Museum of Mining is at 701 W. Lake St. in Memorial Park. Indoor and outdoor exhibits about mining include a replica of an underground mine drift, a jet piercing drill, large mining trucks and equipment, a railroad diorama and an Old Town Chisholm exhibit. Also on display is a 1910 Atlantic Steam Shovel, one of only six built. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$5; $4.50 (ages 60+); $3 (ages 6-17 and college students with ID).
Hours: Mon.-Sat. 9-5, Sun. 1-5, Memorial Day weekend-Labor Day.
