Lake Superior Zoo is w. of downtown at 7210 Fremont St. Hundreds of animals from all over the world include such endangered species as the Siberian tiger and the snow leopard. Polar bears, bats, kangaroos, snakes and birds are among the residents. A primate conservation center is on the 16-acre grounds.
$10; $9 (ages 62+ and military with ID); $5 (ages 3-12).
Hours: Daily 9-5, May-Oct.; Thurs.-Mon. 10-4 (closes at 1 on Christmas Eve), rest of year. Last admission 1 hour before closing. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
