Upper Sioux Agency State Park is 8 mi. s.e. on SR 67. The park borders the Minnesota and Yellow Medicine rivers at the site of the Upper Sioux Agency, which was largely destroyed in the Dakota Conflict of 1862. On the grounds is an interpretive center that has displays about geology, local ecology and history.
