Brown County Historical Museum is at Center and Broadway sts. The museum is housed in the former 1910 New Ulm Post Office, a building that exhibits German architectural motifs. Three floors of exhibits include Native American and Dakota Conflict artifacts. A transportation exhibit in a separate building can be viewed by request, depending upon staff availability. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$5; free (students with ID).
Hours: Tues.-Fri. 10-4 (also Mon. 10-4, May 1-early Nov.), Sat. 10-3. Guided tours are given by appointment. Closed major holidays.
