Good location, good breakfast!
Pros: The breakfast buffet had a large variety of food, and each day there was at least one different thing (scrambled eggs with ham, biscuits and gravy, etc.) each morning.

Worst bedspreads imaginable, small rooms,...
Pros: There is no need to worry if you forget your exfoliating scrub, the bed spread will remove most of your skin. When I originally saw the reviews about the bedspreads, I thought people were just being too critical but we were both having our moments with the bedding. The bedspread feels like heavy grit sand paper and pokes you all night. It just feels very uncomfortable, like nails on a chalkboard. There is no need to worry about setting an alarm clock or sleeping in because if the sheets don't wake you, the walls shaking will. The rooms are basically as small as possible and are not well constructed. Children above us were shaking all the rooms below. Literally, the headboards were rattling against the walls for hours. Every parking space close to the hotel is reserved for Platinum Club, so there is basically no parking close to the hotel for unloading. Guess our $600 was not enough to gain any special position. It really was not all that clean for being such a new location. Some of the wads of hair tracking around the hotel were pretty disgusting. What saves this hotel is the incredible location and staff. The staff can and will save the day. Every one who works the front is excellent and very friendly. We finally had to complain about the unattended children upstairs while parents sat drinking in the lobby. The young man at the front desk was right on it and got them to settle down for the rest of our stay. It is very difficult to assemble a staff this good and the entire crew is well selected and trained. The room being so small meant the a/c worked very well. So basically, too much cutting corners at the corporate level with the room size and bedding comfort, saved by a classy Minnesota staff. I contrast this directly with the Americinn we stayed in that week, which was a very well built facility with an abundance of really poor staff.
