Bunnell House is 5 mi. s.e. on US 14/61 from the jct. with SR 43 at 36106 Old Homer Rd. The former home of early settler and fur trader Willard Bunnell, this rural Gothic Revival-style house was constructed from northern white pine and was never painted. It was occupied by numerous families before being acquired by the Winona County Historical Society in 1954. Rooms display historic items and period furniture, and from the front porch there's a beautiful view of the Mississippi River.
Guided tours are led by costumed docents playing the roles of various Bunnell family members.
