Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art is at 386 Beach Blvd. Designed by acclaimed architect Frank Gehry, OOMA displays works by George E. Ohr (1857-1918), the self-proclaimed “Mad Potter of Biloxi.” Ohr's flamboyant personality expresses itself through these innovative ceramic pieces. In addition to Ohr's work, rotating exhibitions at this Smithsonian-affiliated museum spotlight innovative regional, national and international artists. Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
Museum $10; $8 (ages 60+ and military); $5 (ages 6-17 and students). Mississippi Sound Welcome Center free.
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-5. Closed Jan. 1, Mardi Gras Day, July 4, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
