Pros: Best HOTEL in a long time, especially for price, pet friendly, and everything. Chelsea was very friendly upon checkin, more like visiting a friend. She even offered a sheet for lounging on the sofa. This was great as I need the room cool and my husband is cold. We had 1st floor which I normally don't do, but at end of hall, quick to outside. Huge room, 10' ceilings, sofa, two chairs with ottomans, huge desk with office chair, king bed, tile floor, nice decor and extremely clean. Every channel on TV. Plenty of outlets for charging devices. King bed was excellent, nice linens, bright white linens and towels. Cleanest tub I've ever seen in a hotel. Nice toiletries. Refrigerator had freezer which we love to re-freeze our water bottles. Kureig with 3 k cups different coffees. The AC was quiet and consistent which was very nice. I was so impressed with room I left a $5 tip and thank you note. I used the exercise room and treadmill was very nice and easy to operate, with TV to watch. The pool and hot tub look out over a beautiful lake. Didnt use, but looked very inviting. Lobby cafe offered 24/7 coffee, teas, and fruit. Excellent coffee, as I am a coffee snob. Nice accoutrements including honey and peanut butter. Breakfast was very nice, much more than continental. Was easily able to manage my breakfast carbs and proteins. We thanked all the employees that we met for having the BEST La Quinta we've experienced. The pet area is small but ample and they have bags available. The property shared with an Applebee's which is nice. Quick and easy on and off interstate. Compared to everything great, I will easily stay here again. I give 5 of 5 stars/bones.
Cons: Few things that could improve: No clock. I suppose they figure everyone has phones and the clocks probably get stolen. Not a big deal I couldn't quickly tell the time when waking due to the excellent black out curtains. Freezer needed defrosted, two lights were out of the four in bathroom. Still brightly lit. Could alternate bulbs if out intentionally to save resources. The TV was small considering size of the room and being across from the bed was difficult to watch from sitting area. This and the tall ceilings and tile required volume to be up louder than normal. The bottom of the door needed a good wipe down.
