Museum of the Mississippi Delta is .5 mi. w. of the Yazoo River Bridge at 1608 US 82W bypass. Displays relate to the history of cotton production and the inhabitants of the Mississippi River Delta. Included are pre-Columbian pottery, a mastodon skeleton, a collection of Mississippi artworks, and geological and military history exhibits. Local Native American artifacts include photographs of and objects belonging to Greenwood Leflore, the last chief of the Choctaw.
