Mississippi Museum of Natural Science is at 2148 Riverside Dr. in LeFleur's Bluff State Park. The museum contains ecological exhibits, mounted wildlife specimens and a technical library. Graphic and interactive displays offer detailed views of the environment. Exhibits focus on plants, animals, fossils, insects, natural habitats, and extinct and endangered species native to Mississippi. A 100,000-gallon, 20-aquarium system contains 200 species of native fish, reptiles and amphibians. Alligators and turtles live in “The Swamp,” a greenhouse with a garden and aquarium.

Audiovisual programs about nature are presented in a large theater; 2.5 miles of interpretive trails are on the 300-acre grounds. Hands-on educational programs are offered.
