Historic Jefferson College is off US 61 near US 84E. The college was incorporated in 1802 as the first chartered educational institution in the Mississippi Territory, and in 1817 it hosted the first constitutional convention in the state. The school is being restored as a historic landmark, but several buildings are open to the public.
Nature trails are on the grounds.
Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
