Bollinger Mill State Historic Site is .5 mi. e. of SR 34. This turbine-powered mill was first built in 1799 and reconstructed twice during the 19th century. The oldest of Missouri's four remaining covered bridges is on the grounds. Picnicking is permitted.
Historic site free. Tour $5; $4 (ages 6-17).
Hours: Grounds daily dawn-10 p.m. Tours of the four-story mill are given by request Mon.-Sat. 10-4, Sun. noon-4, mid-Mar. to mid-Nov.; Mon. and Thurs.-Sat. 10-4, Sun. noon-4, rest of year. Hours may vary; phone ahead to confirm schedule. Closed major holidays.
