Bollinger Mill State Historic Site is .5 mi. e. of SR 34. This turbine-powered mill was first built in 1799 and reconstructed twice during the 19th century. The oldest of Missouri's four remaining covered bridges is on the grounds.</br>Picnicking is permitted.</br>
Historic site free. Tour $5; $4 (ages 6-17).
Hours: Grounds daily dawn-10 p.m. Tours of the four-story mill are given by request Mon.-Sat. 10-4, Sun. noon-4, mid-Mar. to mid-Nov.; Mon. and Thurs.-Sat. 10-4, Sun. noon-4, rest of year. Last tour begins 30 minutes before closing. Hours may vary; phone ahead to confirm schedule. Closed major holidays.
