Bridal Cave is 2 mi. n. on SR 5, then 1.5 mi. w. on Lake Rd. 5-88. Guided 1-hour tours follow concrete walks through the cave, which maintains a constant temperature of 60 F and is known for its massive onyx formations and colorful mineral deposits. The stalactite-adorned Bridal Chapel is a popular site for weddings, with more than 3,300 ceremonies performed. On the grounds are a visitor center, mining sluice, rock shop, observation tower and a boat dock. Visitors may spot such wildlife as the bald eagle, deer, turkeys and red foxes along a half-mile outdoor walking trail offering sweeping views of Thunder Mountain's rock bluffs. Lantern tours are offered in summer (not recommended for children under 5).
