Sappington House Museum Complex, 1015 S. Sappington Rd., was built in 1808. This two-story brick house is a fine example of Federal architecture. Guides conduct tours of the dwelling and provide information about its period furnishings. It also houses the Library of Americana, which features a large collection of books about decorative arts and national and local history.

Hours: Wed.-Fri. (also third Sat. of the month) 11-2, mid-Feb. to mid-Dec. Last tour begins 30 minutes before closing. Closed Good Friday, July 4, day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Fri.-Sat. after Thanksgiving and the Sat. before Mon. holidays.
