Big Oak Tree State Park is 2 mi. e. on SR 80, then 12.5 mi. s. on SR 102. A 1.2-mile boardwalk winds through forests of virgin bottomland hardwoods, enabling visitors to see small wildlife. The trees are notable for their size and provide a habitat for more than 140 species of birds.
Pets on leash are allowed. Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
