Pros: The charm and character of the hotel makes it a fantastic destination. We were excited to venture off the beaten path a bit and enjoyed the wineries and small businesses in the Excelsior Springs area. The Elms is a hidden gem!
Cons: The staff was lackluster at best. The bellhop was very kind and was the very best employee we encountered. The cleaning staff and waitstaff in the restaurant were extremely odd and seemed to be going through the motions. The spa staff was extremely rude.

Pros: Clean and loved the hot tubs.
Cons: The king size bed sank in. Wish when checking in the front desk would have told us about the Ghost Tour. Didn't find out about it until we checked out. Wish also the fire pit was turned on.
