Mark Twain Birthplace and Museum State Historic Site is .5 mi. s. on SR 107 to 37352 Shrine Rd. in Mark Twain State Park. The birthplace of Samuel Clemens is preserved within an aluminum, glass and stone building. The museum exhibits a handwritten manuscript of “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” and memorabilia associated with Twain's life and times.
