The College Basketball Experience is connected to the Sprint Center at 1401 Grand Blvd. Ever dream of making a game-winning jump shot or announcing the scores of your favorite basketball teams from behind a news desk? This interactive facility allows you to do that and more. Whether you're a hard-core college basketball fanatic or a casual spectator, the museum will lure you out on to the court to experience the excitement of being a top college athlete. Exhibits highlight various aspects of the game. You can rebound a ball for a lay-up at Clean the Glass, practice 3-point shots at Shoot From Downtown or slam dunk at a hoop that's just your height at the Throw It Down exhibit. Compare your shoe and hand sizes to those of college players at the Measure Up display and make as many free throws before the buzzer goes off in Step Up to the Line. Complete your visit with a walk through the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. Here the greats—players, coaches and contributors—are enshrined in a slick, high-tech room filled with interactive floor displays and colorful graphics. Nearby, the Honor Theater presents an immersive film about the sport. Note: Only shoes with soft soles are allowed on the basketball courts. Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
