Historic Liberty Jail

Historic Liberty Jail is at 216 N. Main St. This is a restored version—in cutaway form—of the 1833 jail in which Mormon prophet Joseph Smith was confined for 4 months beginning in 1838, and where he is said to have received several revelations concerning doctrines of the Mormon Church.
