Ozark Caverns is 6.6 mi. e. on SR A off US 54, .7 mi. n. on McCubbins Dr. then .7 mi. n.e. to 823 Ozark Caverns Rd., within Lake of the Ozarks State Park . Half-mile tours lasting 1 hour guide visitors past the caverns' geological formations, which include helictites, soda straws and stalagmites as well as the Angel Showers, a continuous shower of water which seems to emanate from the rock ceiling. The caverns are home to several bat and salamander species and a variety of invertebrates.
A visitor center presents displays about the caverns and also offers booklets outlining a 1-mile outdoor interpretive trail. Quarter-mile tours for children and 90-minute tours for adults are offered June 1 through August 15.
Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
