The Glore Psychiatric Museum is at 3406 Frederick Ave. It surveys the portrayal and treatment of mental illness over the years, including exhibits of antique ward furniture and such primitive early equipment as lobotomy instruments, a hydrotherapy tub, a tranquilizing chair, a restraint cage and wet sheet packs. The museum also recounts the history of a facility once known as “State Lunatic Asylum No. 2.”
